Promises to Self

I grow 3 different kinds of mint in pots outside by the doorway of my Apartment, and especially now as the warm weather allow...I hop out the door first thing in the morning to cut a snippet of each, and brew a fresh pot...Mmmmmm.
My days are every interesting....so much so that I have to 'dilute' myself sometimes...LOL!
There is a Salvadorian restaurant I love to occasion in White Center, and try not to go there more than once a month, usually just after I stop at my now favorite art gallery at Alki Beach (http://www.alkiarts.com/).
They have these 'killer' pastries...that just suck my face right up to the display glass...and haunt me like a 'wet dream' until I get some...Sweet!
But most of all, I like when they take my order, and ask 'U want Papusas (http://pupusa.org/)?' love when, and how she says it, it's is like asking me 'do U want (some) lovin'?' LOL!
Tickles my thoughts and usually breaks me into a smile. And I turn away so as not to give my thoughts away...LOL!
Seasoned rice comes with the meal, and I love seasoned rice, a usual Thursday dinner dish of my Mom back home in Jamaica when i was growing up...with dried shrimp, Yum! ...killed me with heartburn after...but sooooo worth it.

Life offers me such pleasant surprises, and I run with scissors dangling out front to get it too....LOL!
Last night I am sitting on the empty bus at my layover, enjoying my banana before I pull out, and hear the most beautiful operatic voice caressing the concrete of the underground tunnel...touching my soul intimately...and I thought...someone in the terminal area?
As it continued, in perfect sync with my attuned senses. My fascination so overcomes me, my curiosity had to be satisfied. I get up and open the front door to step out and see.
Surprise of surprises! It was the tunnel Supervisor ( he was sitting on a chair behind a column, so I could not see him before), as he puts it upon me asking where the singing was coming from, 'Oh, I am rehearsing for a Church Recital next week, I did an German to English translation of Brahms' ..Wow!
The diversity of those that I work with, always takes my breath away.
